Ciccone Wines was established in 1940 from the entrepreneurial intuition of Orlando Ciccone, since 1980 he follows his son Alberto Ciccone who experiments with new winemaking systems for the Montonico grape. Since the 2000s, Matteo Ciccone has taken over the reins of the farm specializing in high quality wine production.
In the last 15 years, Ciccone Vineyard and Winery has studied and enhanced the agrarian territory of Bisenti (Abruzzo), exploiting the wine-growing potential of a "strong and gentle" land such as Abruzzo. A unique and strongly characterized "terroir" for the production of Montonico Wine.
First of all, we are winemakers, we love our land and take care of it with genuine passion, considering our roots as a strong value for the future. We seriously respect our land as we live on its fruit: it gives us food, drinks and liven up our tables, it gives us work and teaches us the true values of life. The search for maximum quality is the only characteristic that distinguishes us and makes us recognizable in the wine market. This is why our land, nature and wine are the foundation of our winery. From generation to generation every choice we have made has followed the same philosophy: producing great wines which are the direct expression of a unique land.
We take care of our vines during all the production cycle, firmly preferring the manual harvest and getting committed everyday in what is the fruit of our family passion. Since the beginning we have pursued the aim of quality and we have decided to give value to the local grape varieties such as Montonico Cru Abruzzo & Montepulciano Abruzzo.
Today, Ciccone Vineyard & Winery produces the following wines, always repeating the territory and striving for the production of high quality, the vineyards are all present inside 10 hectare estate in Chioviano Basso of Bisenti at 330 meters above sea level.
